We’ve received many services from Lysenko over the last few years. We’ve gotten fast efficient service when it comes to closing real estate and business transactions. Their offices are bright and comfortable and there is always a friendly dog or two, to meet us! Today, we were completely, totally and utterly blown away however. Not sure how the lawyers are couldn't get past the rudeness of whoever handles the phone calls. Was asking why I was involved with aiding my parents in a real estate deal. It was not her concern. The tone was terrible and I immediately knew it wouldn't be a good fit based on her questioning and perceived judgment. I also called Rockies Law and the phone conversation was a night and day difference. I will be staying with them.
We needed their services and every time I actually talked to someone they would say they would get back to me and they never did. I had to keep calling them. I found that some of the staff were rude, and they didn’t know about the laws about not being able to representing both seller and buyer of a property. I ended up having to take my business to someone who actually knew what to do and wanted to treat me with respect. In a small town/city, you can’t treat people like they don’t matter. DO NOT RELY ON THEM IF IT IS A TIMELY MATTER. They kindly accepted my request for a last minute appointment giving me hope that I was able to get my document notarized the day before it was due. Only to then cancel the day before the appointment leaving me struggling to find a new notary the day before the document was due. Very unprofessional and quite rude if I’m going to be honest. The receptionist was chill though.
Outstanding outcome in handling the sale of my home under exceptional circumstances - the buyers' notary breached the closing undertaking and deposited a post-dated cheque that couldn't be cashed so they had title and I had nothing! It was an unnerving situation to be in, to say the least! Lilina and her team were all over it and she quickly drafted and registered a legal claim to protect me.
