They discharged my quadriplegic dad with a bed sore, in a gown on a 50 degree day and a completely full diaper. After changing and dressing him I asked to use their hoyer lift to get my dad in the car and they refused. I asked for manual assistance and they refused. They said an ambulance was the only option and that I would have to pay out of pocket. Perfect place for independent living. They have 2 restaurants, a pool and hot tub, seasonal fishing, a billiards room, library, hair salon, a bank, country store, on-site caregiving services, plenty of activities and the staff are super friendly and helpful. They have 2 resident swans, mallards, and a hering every year in their pond. Perfect retirement community, close to shopping and other dining options. It's located just off 53 and close to all other expressways.

Too expensive since it became a corporation. $475.00 a day for rehab after hospital visit. Medicare won’t pay.

Luther Village is HOME. the residents are like family members. They are friendly and helpful. The campus is gorgeous. I followed my parents here and I knew I wanted to live here too. This is my third month living here and I couldn't be happier. I've been volunteering at the Lutheran home for years, and this is right across the street so I can continue to volunteer.

This is a warm and friendly community where residents bond. There are opportunities to be involved in many different activities. The grounds are SO BEAUTIFUL. I've been here for seven years.
