About

Specialties We are a children's clothing boutique featuring the Lucky Wang brand as well as a mix of European, Cali, and local brands. Size ranges from newborn to 10 years. The Lucky Wang brand officially started in September of 1995. Our first products were accessories made of a "tinsel yarn" material. The most popular shapes were change purses and small cosmetics pouches. The first shop to carry Lucky Wang was Patricia Field on W. 8th St. In 1996, we opened a Lucky Wang boutique selling these fuzzy creations on Stanton St. in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. In 2001, Emily Wang, designer and founder, was expecting her first child. As most stories go, she started to turn her focus to child

Not to be confused with Lucky Cheng's, this pint-sized Lower East Side shop is just as goofy and fun. – The Scene The colors here work like a strong cup of coffee, waking visitors up from their browsing stupor with neon pinks and greens normally saved for lava lamps. Though most items are laid out for easy access, some are perched on higher shelves and come in nondescript plastic takeout containers, and only with careful inspection are revealed to be pom-pom-ish pins or chokers. The Goods This is a great place to nail a light-hearted gift or replace a tired old key chain. Club kids will also love the bright and teensy totes made of Lucky Wang's signature fabric (think: tinsel with a dash of astroturf). Pretty Asian-motif pillows are nice pick-me-ups, but their longevity isn't assured. Best in the house is a linen-napkin shoulder bag that's big enough for a magazine but would strain under the kitchen sink's weight.
