Husband and wife team owners, Jeff and Desiree Van Horn, operate Lucky Road from completely different backgrounds. Jeff was an often injured sub-elite runner with a degree in sports medicine. Desiree enjoyed half marathons from the back of the pack and obstacle events like tough mudder. Together they have created a happy and helpful atmosphere where everyone is welcome."

22 years ago, Jeff helped me with a pair of shoes that instantly corrected shin splints I was having every time I ran. I referred several people to him and each had great results. Now years later, I wanted to start jogging again, but have had dome knee pain. I knew Jeff was only one I would trust to get me going again so I am happy to have found him at Lucky Road. Super excited about the new shoes I bought. They felt great during the test run and I have no doubt they will be the fix I needed.

A clean, professional and well-stocked running, shoe and athletic store staffed by extremely friendly and helpful people. I picked a few options to try on and requested my size. A staff member recommended I get sized. I usually wear a 7.5 and sometimes I'll get an 8. This staff member (Cant remember her name) suggested I go up in size with enough room to have a thumb-length space between my big toes and the toe of the shoes. She claimed I needed enough room for swelling during hiking...I personally have never heard of this. She comes out with a 9 at first which was slipping on my heels. Absolute best experience I have ever had shopping for shoes. Top notch customer service and care. Helped me figure out which shoe would be best for me and brought out multiple options to ensure I was satisfied. I have been searching for a good running shoe for months. Really glad I went to them! Definitely recommend them for all runners!!
