I’ve had a fantastic experience so far. I joined several online groups, and I’ve received the support I need to feel connected and involved. As a transfer student from Purdue Global, I’d rather have a degree from a reputable institution like LSU than be ridiculed in a job interview for attending “Purdue Global University.” You might think you have to teach yourself, but the professors are responsive and helpful when you reach out to them. Honestly, LSU Online has been the worst school experience I’ve ever had. Every single semester, there’s been a new issue especially with financial aid. It feels like the staff are just there to check boxes instead of actually helping students succeed. Whenever I reach out for help, I rarely get a response. I’ve emailed and called for weeks with no reply, and by the time someone finally responds, I’m told it’s “too late” to fix the issue even though I reached out well before deadlines. Really helpful with application process
Very frustrating and disappointing! I can't get past Josh and to an SSC to then get to an Academic Advisor just to get started. Josh has misrepresented LSU and the policies and procedures laid out for the online education pathway. I was told by Josh that I would be getting an email to confirm my call appointment with an SSC, Lily Gayle, representing Raven Nichols, but no email and no call on June 26th at 11am. I truly wanted to finish my LSU degree!
