A Disappointing Experience It’s either a 1-star or a 5-star—no in-between. Lowery’s True Value has always been the closest store for all my home repair needs, but after today, they will no longer have my business or support. Upon entering, I was told I had to leave my man bag (not a backpack) either at the front or in my car. This was both embarrassing and unacceptable. Absolutely unacceptable experience at True Value – BEWARE! On Thursday, 3/13, I went into True Value to speak with the employees about renting a machine. I was only inside the store for a short time, and during that time, someone stole an expensive cooler right out of the back of my truck. I asked the store to review their security cameras to see who did it. They said they would look into it. When I returned the machine, I asked again if they had seen anything on the footage. Save your money and support other businesses that do not nickel n dime their customer's. I get it, this isn't a place I was expecting to have Walmart prices, but when you are charging customer's 35%-45% higher just because you think you can, then I refuse to support places like this. It's pretty bad when I went in there for a lawn mower tire and I mentioned to the employee that was helping me, "that's way too much, I'll just get it somewhere else". I came in quickly to grab some tubing and who I assume was the manager came right over to help me! He was really nice, I would definitely come back here for anything else I might need. All of the employees seemed happy to be there and their selection of various items was good.
Bought a graveyard mower 8 months ago and the key switch stopped cycling at 22 hrs instead of me bringing the key switch in to be warranties they insist I take a day of work to meet there guy so he can load the whole mower and bring it in sometime next week I have grass seed down that sprouted that needs to be mowed instead of me provididng all info from the mower and showing them the key switch doesn’t turn (not rocket science) they’re going to continue to waste my time so if your going to spent 7k on a mower do it elsewhe... read more
