I found Louise through a friend's recommendation after being given a pretty high quote from a bridal shop, and she did such a great job altering my dress at a very reasonable price. Her quote came in at about 2/3 the price of the original quote, and I felt like her approach was much more personal and not transactional, which was very reassuring. Louise is a career excellent seamstress. The walls of her studio are covered with phots of dresses she has altered and made. I trusted her entirely. Her prices were fair, she had an easy to access studio, and she was always timely and precise.
I was looking for an experienced and affordable seamstress to alter my Maggie Sottero wedding dress with a highly embellished beaded bodice and long lacy sleeves. My dress needed a number of adjustments: the waist fit but the bust was too big, the sleeves needed to be slightly longer because I am tall, the shoulders needed reinforcement to attach my cape veil, and it needed a hem and a bustle (9 buttons!). Louise did an amazing job and it fit perfectly on my wedding day.
Louise did a PERFECT job altering my wedding dress! Would absolutely recommend her to everyone I know who is getting married. She’s a real pro!!
Louise has been so easy to work with on fitting my wedding dress. I'm still awaiting my final fitting, but the dress looks incredible and fits perfectly. I am so glad I found her to tailor it!
