My father moved into Lookout just over a week ago. I have been in and out over the last week to help him get off to a good start. During that time I have been so impressed by the staff. The women in the dining hall are always friendly and chatty and the head of catering made a special visit to ensure my dad understood how mealtimes work and what the options are. With our mother needing LTC and having such a long wait at our first choice of homes, we decided to look at other options. We explored Lookout Ridge and within three weeks she moved into the Assisted Living wing. Diane, the sales consultant was more than helpful and scheduled a tour. She was very welcoming and caring, guiding us gently into the next stage of life for our mom, making it a smooth transition. Jessica assisted us in the nursing and support area. Residents are well taken care of, but the costs have gotten ridiculous. Haven't been thrilled with the new ownership.
I had toured this retirement home with my family for my Aunt. The staff member giving the tour, Diane, was extremely rude to the workers on shift, which was very uncomfortable to watch and left a bad impression right away. During this tour, we witnessed one PSW on shift for what looked like 40 residents. That is nowhere near enough support. Safe to say we will not be putting my Aunt in a establishment like this. Very disappointed.
