Longford Berries... what a great place! Firstly the staff and family that run this place are so lovely. Happy to chat and keen to do whatever it takes to make your visit enjoyable. Gorgeous dogs too. The outdoor space is lovely with plenty of shaded seating options. One of the most noteworthy things to see (sorry if this offends anyone) is the amazing toilet. Absolutely amazing. Went for our youngest daughters 7th birthday as it's what she wanted. Be very careful though as 4 of us went in to pick berries and we walked out with 6.8kg of strawberries and it took the 4 of us about 20 minutes to pick them. We also got some pancakes, waffles and my partner and I got a bottle of Gin after the tasters. Easily spent over $250 so it's a good thing we like strawberries and gin.
They really know their berries and it was delicious and fun and there is gin - and dogs
We have supported this business for years and live locally, so it’s disappointing to feel compelled to write this. On our most recent visit, the owner’s conduct was entirely inappropriate. He spoke to customers in a raised, aggressive, and threatening manner for no apparent reason. This created an uncomfortable atmosphere, particularly as we were there with our small family and visiting guests. Longford Berries is absolutely outstanding. The fruit is incredible – fresh, full of flavour, and you can genuinely taste the difference knowing it’s grown pesticide and fungicide free. Once you’ve had berries like this, there’s no going back. The dessert van is a must-do and amazing value for money. The ice cream with their own fruit through it is hands down the best I’ve ever tasted – simple, fresh, and unforgettable.
