It’s a very pretty and tranquil place. Would I board my horse there? Only if I could go and check on it or ride it at least a couple of times a day. None of the pastures have shelters, but at least some of the pastures have trees for shade. There is only one person taking care of the animals, 24/7/365. And so a lot gets overlooked. No one single person can check on 50 horses and do all the chores every single day. Zero fly or poop management for that matter. I’ve seen horses go down to a body score of 2! A little kindness goes a long way. I have been a boarder and a fan of Lone Tree Farm since discovering it about seven or eight years ago? When my horses need to reset, refresh or retire… LTF is my “ go to “ place. Some photos of my horses past and present below. When my beloved, home bred “Cricket”, ( see the gray mare in video) who was retired at Lone Tree had to suddenly be euthanized, it was devastating. Of course.
