A place to escape from the world ... as long as you like lots of wood. – The Scene The Lodge is decked-out in lacquered wood and lots of it, as though a woodsman wandered down from the north and thought, "I'll open a bar!" Unlike many of the Lodge's self-conscious, goofy neighbors around Division Street, its hunting lodge concept is comforting more than obnoxious. There are some elbow-high tables and stools around the periphery, but whenever possible, belly up to the carved oak bar for baskets of Winchester peanuts. There are around 20 beers on tap, including Tetley's, Foster's and Harp. The Crowd While you won't find too many youngsters here, especially during the day, there's often a wide array of customers downing drinks here. The atmosphere and the music (generally alt-rock) grow louder on weekend nights but never get oppressive. There's a solid contingent of regulars, but the staff is equally friendly and inviting to all, making this a dangerous place to go to sometimes: You may never want to leave.
