A gem of a place to stop by for an easy, tasty and cheerful snack or lunch: fresh sandwiches, salads and soups, delicious home baked treats (magnificent blueberry fritters!!), and of course an ice cream bar! Friendly service, bike rack for cyclists, water bowl for doggos and an airy patio to enjoy your food. A sweet little spot!!
As real and authentic as it gets. Worth the drive to Verona. Bought some rhubarb butter tarts -- can't wait to try them for dessert!
We stopped in for a quick lunch and had excellent freshly prepared sandwiches. Had to pick up some locally/Canadian-sourced treats. Love the concept of a store that is a one-stop shop for local cheeses, meats, baked goods and other goodies.
It's an eclectic store full of unique and delicious food, including local meats and condiments. Any time I drive through Verona I stop there. And the butter tarts are excellent, especially the bacon ones.
