The new bike came equipped with carbon wheels, but I was dissatisfied with the weight of the wheels and hubs. I consulted with Jerry at LoamLabs, who recommended rebuilding the existing rims with new hubs and Berd spokes. He had the wheels done on a few days, and the performance of the new hubs, along with a weight reduction of approximately 300 grams, has been impressive. I can recommend Jerry at loam labs for all your wheel building needs. A great down-to-earth guy but also very knowledgeable and does not cut corners. will definitely return for future wheel-sets.
I was in the market to replace my wheels on my road bike, I’ve been following the IG page and decided to try the wheel builder link on the website. The process was very easy and pricing to be very reasonable for a custom wheel build. Reserve 42/49 TA rims, DT Swiss 180 hubs, Sapim CX-Ray spokes.
