I was stopped by Deputy Paul Pearman badge number 714. I’m a big advocate for law enforcement, however, this incident was over the top. Firstly, I was pulled over for speeding supposedly over 5mph. I know I drive with cruse control, but I didn’t argue it. He immediately said it was going to be a warning which makes me presume his claim was weak. He then asks to search my vehicle. Called for help getting into our locked rental car. Alamo wanted $75 to dispatch someone from San Antonio, over an hour away. A local police officer was there in under 10 minutes and open our in 5-10 minutes. Very appreciative of the officer and the Sherriff's dispatcher. Our officers deserve more respect for the tough jobs they have.
