I had a very disappointing experience at Merrylands Liquorland yesterday. I found the behaviour of the staff member, Will, to be very unprofessional and concerning. I believe he needs to communicate with customers more respectfully and maintain a professional manner while at work. His behaviour made me feel uncomfortable and gave me the impression that he was not taking his responsibilities or customers seriously. On the second day, Will was working again. I told him the customer’s name was John, but he made me repeat it about four times and said, “Shall we start again?” He continued questioning me as if he was interviewing me and kept making fun of me and laughing. He was rude and made it clear that he did not want to serve me. I asked him to stop and do his job, but he continued behaving disrespectfully. Great experience at Liquorland Merrylands! The store has a good range of products, but what really stood out was the excellent customer service from Will. Will was very friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful from the moment I walked in. He helped me find what I needed, offered me a trolley and even helped with the heavy items. I came to Liquorland Maryland to pick up my order, but there were no bags, boxes, or any type of packaging available to carry the bottles. The staff simply left the bottles there and told me I had to find bags or boxes myself. I don’t think this is acceptable. If customers place an order, the store should have proper packaging available to carry it safely.
