I took two men's jackets here to have the plain plastic buttons converted to "blazer style" brass buttons that have a shank instead of laying flat like regular buttons. It took several visits to get my items back after a promise of about 10 days (no, over three weeks!). The results were poor. The buttons were far too loose to the fabric and went every which way. BEWARE!!!! To the people that still go to this place please find somewhere else to the people looking to go somewhere...please no one go here. I had a dress last year I needed just a tad smaller and they made it so tight you would think they thought I was a middle schooler. I'm skinny but not THAT skinny. Ling is the best alterations lady I've ever had. I live in Chicago now, and I am so sad I can't go to her anymore. I went to her for years. She always got it right. I'd come to her with dresses from the thrift store that were 5x my size, and I'd tell her I'd want it cinched at the waist, and she did it! She never poked me with the little pins. We paid a surcharge for a “faster” simple alteration. Came back 1 week later on the date at they didn’t even touch it. Had to give them an hour. Overpriced, take your business elsewhere
