I had a similar experience to Humphrey11. I took in some very nice and expensive gold and diamonds pieces. No matter how many diamonds each piece had, and one was a designer piece with many high quality stones, they offered me no money for the diamonds and only half of what the gold was worth. They surely are not the highest payers in the Saint Louis area. The Channel 4 or 5 news showed almost all pawnshops paying more than Lindstrom & McKinney. Their suite may look very nice and high-end, but they're offers aren't.
They are experts in their field. Very astute technically. This group understands the complexities behind parting with family pieces that have been passed down through generations. Most business are really just focused on paying the most amount for scrap bullion. These guys are all about fairness for everyone involved. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH LINDSTROM & MCKENNEY....Lindstrom & McKenney basically stole money from us when they paid us just $13 per Morgan Silver Dollar we brought in for appraisal on July 27, 2011 - we had 8 or 9 of them. When I questioned the appraiser about the value being lower than what we expected - around $32 - $34 each, we were told that because U.S. coins could not be melted they were not worth the bullion value. My father recently died and left us a lot of gold coins. We had no idea what they were worth. Lindstrom & McKenney told us which ones were only worth the gold and which ones were collectible. When we decided to sell some of them they gave us a great price and were very easy to work with. Highly recommend using them for any type of gold, silver, collectibles etc.
