My son has had the privilege of receiving remote intensive instruction from Lindamood-Bell for the past 16 months. He has gained so much knowledge in addition to reading skills that his home school district had presumed him incompetent. I've always known he was capable, but finally seeing my son realize that he's capable and growing from a 2nd grade reading level to a 7th grade reading level in such a short time is amazing and maddening. The staff are WONDERFUL and they changed my daughter's life in the BEST way. She went from fearful and ashamed about not being able to read to enjoying reading SO much in just 100 hours.
As a former summer student that went to the Lindamood-Bell in Arlington,MA. When the location exists 10 years ago. I remember my mom told me. During the summer of my 6th grade year. You are going to do their summer intensive program. I was not excited, but I knew the program would help my reading comprehension. Since I had a learning difference that affected my ability to comprehend what I read. I did the Visualizing and Verbalizing Program. When the 8 weeks finished. Amelia is very knowledgeable in the programs offered at LMB. She was always available to answer my questions and took time to listen to my concerns. My daughter was very happy at the center and she always wanted to attend each session. The positive attitudes from the instructors gave my daughter lots of motivation to try her best. The one to one learning was crucial for my daughter to move through the programs quickly with confidence and with amazing outcomes. The only con for me as a parent is the high cost of the program.
Everyone has always been very responsive. Livvy never gave me a hard time about going to LMB and that was amazing.
