The wildfire in 2020 they listed our house as a total loss, even though IT WAS NOT! We got the response from the county of “we don’t know how that happened.” Fast forward 5 years later, we moved from Otis to the Carolinas. We are just about to close on a house and in the process of getting homeowners insurance for our new home we are told by our agent that no insurance company wants to give us coverage because of the “total loss.” Are you kidding me! Thanks Lincoln County…….
