I was really disappointed with my experience at Lilly Pulitzer this evening. I went in genuinely needing help putting together an outfit, but none of the associates offered any assistance beyond offering to hang the items I picked out in the dressing room. At one point, I specifically asked for help deciding which outfit I should get and explained the event I needed it for. I love Lilly Pulitzer clothing and would prefer to shop at brick and mortar stores. But this store is so inconsistent. They are so wonderful and helpful during the day time. I was there a few weeks back at nighttime, and the young woman with glasses just growls at you like you are doing her a disservice by entering the store! We came here during the tent sale as we were enroute to the Cape. Everyone was so nice and helpful! My husband loved the comfy “dad chairs” and joked about needing sport center so one of the girls put it on the laptop for him! The ladies in the tent helped us pick out some items for me and my daughters. Overall such a positive and kind experience!
I’m so happy you are open in Garden City. The manager, Kelly, is so nice and smart. She is such a wonderful delight and fun to shop. Doan is a great addition. I always feel good when I leave there. Kelly and Doan are the best!
I walk Garden City most nights. When I walk inside I’m greeted with employees who act like they are doing a great service by putting their phones down to help you. (You are young and should be able to get up from a chair without sighing). I witnessed the woman with glasses berate an older customer because she didn’t have a receipt. I shop at other Lilly stores, I know that everything is on email thus making paper receipts obsolete. So no reason to berate the elderly. It is no wonder why they have no customers.
