We are moving so today was our last day at Lightbridge of Rutherford. The outpouring of love and support from the teachers, parents and kids was beyond what we could have imagined. Our boys started at 6 months old and are now leaving at 2 and almost 4. Every single teacher in this school cares so much about the kids, even kids that aren’t in their classroom. My experience with the Education Directors—Dina, Agata, and Melanie—was extremely disappointing. Despite raising multiple concerns, sharing observations, and requesting support, I felt that my feedback was not taken seriously. While they were polite, the responses were superficial, and no meaningful action was taken to address the issues. It also became apparent that they had limited ability to influence the classroom environment or teacher behavior. As a father, nothing is more heartbreaking than watching your child suffer in a place that is supposed to feel safe. Our family’s experience at Lightbridge was deeply troubling, and I feel a responsibility to share it honestly. I’ve had my son at this daycare for over a year and would recommend it time and time again. Great learning structure and super attentive and kind teachers/ attendants.
