My brother-in-law was a rehabilitation resident at Life Care Center of Mount Vernon for approximately four months in 2025 following a fractured hip and broken shoulder. I am extremely disappointed with the care my mother received at Life Care Center after her open heart surgery. She was sent there to recover and regain strength, but instead the experience made an already difficult situation even harder. My mother was placed in a freezing cold room with the air conditioning running constantly, and instead of adjusting it, staff simply handed her a blanket.
