The worst tax experience I have ever had- 2025. The staff were rude and mean, the receptionist was the worst. I went to one in Winnipeg that was great but Selkirk was terrible. The taxes were fine, but not the staff demeanour and how they dealt with people. I tried to be cheery and friendly but the receptionist did not care. She actually made me feel uncomfortable. Poor client service abilities. I now go to H&R Block in Selkirk Manitoba.
Would give a 0/5 if I could! Completely messed up our taxes, missed adding dependents when I clearing wrote it down and even brought baby in with me! Didn’t give back papers, and WAY OVER CHARGED FOR “DOING THE TAXES” Total waste of time to try to call, you leave a message and no one ever calls back. They didn’t add the right things on the right people like I asked and just screwed us. Evened up getting them redone and saving more money!
They filed my taxes wrong, now I owe double this year. Paid $300 plus dollars for their service. Recommend doing your own taxes and it will be the correct amount.
Called on Friday Feb 27 and they said they are hardly ever busy. I go in on Saturday Feb 28, the day after I called. Suddenly they're to busy to sit down and talk with me about my tax return. I begin questioning it, and some random person calls out from one of the back offices "what's the problem?" Didn't ever stand up to properly greet or show his face.
