My mom's property tax bill for her vehicle had been overlooked and had not been paid on time, for months! We ended up having to pay $75 to the DMV for late fees. Plus, we had been driving her car with an expired plate. I don't understand why a late notice wasn't sent out to her to alert us about the oversight. The bill for the property tax was less than the fees owed to the DMV! Government, in general, is an absolute trainwreck, from local on up! These are the least helpful people I have ever dealt with. Absolute embarrassment that I even have to try to communicate with them. I got told to talk to “other” department by both the auditors office and the treasurer. FINALLY after two days I managed to get a hold of somebody that helped me who sounded very young and was more helpful than anyone else there. Then after I paid my property taxes, they didn’t include the charge for my decal. Which they waited a week to inform me about. These people need to be removed and start... read more
