Had to make a personal apperance to pay after moving to SC. 30 min wait time on Tuesday at 1:30 pm. Used Google maps and took awhile to find it as I'm not familiar with the area, but finally directed there. Friendly and helpful staff..addressed all my needs in an efficient manner. Best to go on Tuesdays or Thursdays in the morning, and avoid lunchtime as staff stagger breaks.
I HAD A VERY KIND, PATIENT, AND HELPFUL LADY WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE AND TOOK CARE OF MY QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS ESPECIALLY SINCE I NOW LIVE NEAR BEAUFORT, SC !!! WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD WONDERFUL EXPERIENCES WITH THIS OFFICE !!!
My mom's property tax bill for her vehicle had been overlooked and had not been paid on time, for months! We ended up having to pay $75 to the DMV for late fees. Plus, we had been driving her car with an expired plate. I don't understand why a late notice wasn't sent out to her to alert us about the oversight. The bill for the property tax was less than the fees owed to the DMV! Government, in general, is an absolute trainwreck, from local on up!
