Lemon Twist I agree Lemon Twist has really cute stuff but their staff does tend to ignore you if they don't know you. I've been in there and a "regular" comes in and it's a completely different reception.
Kerry Cute shop but the manager is awful. She is pushy and rude to customers and the employees. I was astounded by the way she spoke to people. Heard her on the phone with another of the store's locations and she was yelling, calling them names and demeaning. Surprised the owner finds her behavior acceptable. Maybe I will try the Chevy Chase location.
Run, don't walk, to the Lemon Twist – I LOVE Lemon Twist. Discovered it by accident and have dragged my G'town & Capitol Hill galpals there to check it out. They loved it too. The clothes are classic -- with a twist of originality that you seek but so rarely find. And the prices are VERY reasonable. One of my friends just got back from NYC and said she was stopped everywhere she went by women asking where she bought this fabulous ruffled coat she bought at Lemon Twist, including a buyer for Saxs! Customer service *nonexistent*. We ended up making our purchases at Nordstrom instead. Too bad, because we like to support local businesses.
Disappointing local retailer – Visited on a friend's recommendation to purchase gifts. Found some cute little tchotchkes, but the clerks were oddly rude and acted like they'd rather be elsewhere. Maybe they're planning to close up for good.
