My interview with Dr. Frank Amato was friendly & professional which included my history of chronic back pain & knee pain etc. He applied his skills based on being a good listener in the initial interview. Then developed a rehabilitation care plan such as exercises to regain lost flexibility, strength movement & reduce pain. Frank made therapy assessment/evaluations frequently as positive progress proceeded and pain diminished. He gave easy to understand explainations as to the purpose of individual exercises. BEWARE!! Although some of the therapists are concerned and good at their job, the billing office is unethical and deceitful. I went here after hip replacement and Medicare covered my initial visits. However, when my secondary NYSHIP was going to start paying Metro said that they would not accept NYSHIP as a secondary—-claiming they were having difficulty collecting from them. During the second half of 2023 and the first quarter of 2024, I received physical therapy and occupational therapy twice a week at the Bellmore, NY Metro Physical Therapy Clinic. The time, attention, patience, encouragement, guidance, encouragement, and confidence given to me meant a lot to someone who is very tough on himself to begin with. Outstanding physical therapy place, both for aquatic PT and regular PT. The staff is great, and the therapist’s are knowledgeable and kind. They work you hard but you see results. The best PT place ever.
