Sent them a message before Christmas for consultation on an L&I case. Took awhile to send them info because of the holidays, but got it to them right after New years. No response for 4 weeks and had to ask to find out they decided not to take my case - probably because they never looked at it for 4 weeks and I had an afternoon to write my own appeal and not even a consultation, just a message about the importance of soliciting advice in a timely manner. Apparently 1 month isn't long enough to get advice.
