Horrible organization. They do the bare minimum. They told me I can speak with a lawyer on Thursday. I came on Thursday and they said "We don't have lawyers here. You need to call New York State Bar Association". This organization is a sham: They pretend like they have lawyers, but all they do is tell you to call New York State Bar Association!
I came in and discussed my legal matter to a Latino worker who told me that they were not able to help me, even though the services listed said otherwise. I will be choosing another legal aid service. Good luck if you go there.
I am struggling with a lot of problems at home right now. I went to family court and they gave me the number and address to Legal Hand. I am very pleased with the service provided. Brianna helped me to fill out the food stamp application and an interview for it is set up. Juliet is also helping with my divorce, she’s doing a great job. I recommend Legal Hand, they do things quickly and don’t delay.
