Legal Aid Society Rochester works with people and families in many ways to help them live without abuse and to enjoy the basic necessities of life; they do this with kindness, respect and a vast knowledge of the law. The staff is made up of dedicated professionals who work hard to bring about positive change and vital results for all who seek their services.
I want to thank all the great people at The Legal Aid Society of Rochester for the incredible work they've done to support eliminating "being poor" as a crime in our community. Their efforts to change the laws to eliminate "Aggravated Unlicensed Operator" penalties for those unable to pay small fines will help do away what the Brennan Center for Justice has called a new "Debtor's Prison" system. We are lucky to have such dedicated lawyers and activists in Rochester. Thank you Legal Aid!
