This was the most contentious, unhelpful, and unnecessarily antagonistic experience I’ve ever had! I’ve been practicing law for over 20 years, personally, and I would never talk over someone, yell at them, or refuse to be helpful in the same way I was treated. If there’s any way to AVOID legal aid of maui, do it. I signed an engagement letter, never heard from my lawyer & once I did, I was treated like garbage. We deserve better. I needed blank forms of Power of Attorney and Medical POA. They promised to send me the forms by mail and also by email. I called almost daily bc I never even got the emails to 2 different addresses. Finally after 2 weeks of bugging them daily I got the forms via email. The blank form via mail never arrived. They would not let me go pick up bc they are short staffed and don’t allow walk-ins

Great service provided for my mother years ago. I continually support them because they are a needed service on Maui.
