Just Horrible! I called for legal aid for immigration purposes as a Stage 4 cancer patient with 2 kids trying to settle in this country. I was denied legal aid because I live with my mother telling me she "makes too much money & is able to support me & my kids". The agent was very rude and lacked empathy. How ridiculous is it that am supposed to be a in jail or be at a shelter to qualify. I have no income & cannot afford chemotherapy so basically am left here to die.
Terrible... Try to get a hold of someone... Lol!!!.. Not funny:(
Perfect place to acquire free legal representation but you only qualify when crown is requesting a jail term sentence, I guess I'm outta luck...
