I worked with John Kelley at Legal Aid of Northwest Texas, and while I respect the organization’s mission, I was extremely disappointed by his conduct. He was rude, unprofessional, and openly admitted he didn’t have the knowledge to handle my case. He even acknowledged that I, being in my early 20s with no legal background, knew more about the laws, court procedures, and lawyer to lawyer communications more than he did. I applied with them 2 weeks ago to file a lawsuit against my landlord. The attorney who took my call (Tiffany Pratt) was not personable at all. She was also very condescending, kept interrupting me and talking over me. Fast forward a few days later, she asked about my financial situation and told me my application would be transferred to the Collin County division.
