They are incompetent, rude, and horrifying. They definitely don't help most of the patients there, if they do it's "bothersome" and a "nuisance". These people are scared, away from family, and stuck in a facility where it smells like urine and feces. Food is littered all over on the ground, bathrooms are atrocious, and the cafeteria is questionable. This home is full of nasty nurses. Shirley, the woman behind the front desk, didn’t even know me when I asked her name to file a complaint. She was very rude and it’s obvious she does not care about her job. This complaint was regarding a personal interaction she had with my family member there. There needs to be corrections made with her specifically because it's made clear that she doesn't like meeting the patients' needs (which is well within her skillset and capabilities as an able-bodied person). My first visit to this facility was anything other than welcoming. The dining hall was overrun with flies, food spills on the floor and tables. In my Mom’s room there was trash on the floor. It was so difficult leaving her in that environment. However, I did begin to see in the next couple of weeks a big decrease in the number of flies in the rooms and especially in the dining room. Legacy Nursing and Rehab of Tallulah has been amazing in the care of my mom! The therapy staff, nurses and aides have all been awesome. I could not have dreamed of a better experience for my mom.
