Wow! Spending $6 million on a sports facility when the students have no paper towels or soap in the restrooms and no art or music to speak of at lower grades and virtually no career electives offered in high school compared to neighboring school systems! Morale is extremely low since Howard took the helm! Way to go Howard, this is on your watch and I am not the only one who thinks this way by far! I always thought the primary mission of schools was to educate, but I guess trying to be a sports enterprise is priority!

Lee county board staff , very uncommunicative, since moving to Lee county certain races stick together and make it harder for your child; the employees at the board of education have personal relationships with school employees; the animosity teachers carry towards certain students is condoned and never reprimanded. You must remain an active parent throughout the school year and consistently check up. The entire district as a whole is very biased and unprofessional. The school system is filled with poor leadership.

Cheryl Tally was very rude and disrespectful. I asked her a simple question and she was very rude and ugly as if she did not want to be at work that day. She came of as racist because I didn’t do anything to her to make behave in that way.If she didn’t know the answers to the questions I was asking she should’ve simply stated that. I have never had this problem with any one else.

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to recognize the two women I encountered late Friday! I'm a travel dental hygienist who is going on a travel assignment in Colorado. I went to Opelika Health Department in search of my vaccination record. However, I did receive a portion of my vaccination record and I was told to come to the Lee County Board of Education for the other portion of my vaccination record. Once I entered the Lee County Board of Education Building, the smell in the atmosphere gave me a sense of peace. I have the ... read more
