My antique platform rocker, approximately 150 years old was in desperate need of reupholstery. I am so very glad that I called Brad! He and Duncan took care with this antique, preserved what could be preserved and replaced the foam and fabric. Additionally Brad tightened the base and other areas that needed it. We just had a 70+ year old hide-a-bed redone and words can’t come close to describing what a fabulous job Brad and his team did! Our expectations were exceeded. We had been looking off and on for over 20 years to get this done and had bought at least 2 couches during that time (that didn’t last or weren’t comfortable). Really glad that we hung on to this and finally found Leatherman’s. They really don’t “build them like they used to” and when it comes time to given them a second life, Brad and Leatherman’s can do it!
What a gem for our area! Brad did such a beautiful job for us! We have a 35+ year old sofa that was tired looking and worn down, but it is oh so comfortable and the design and curve of the piece perfectly fit our space. After not being able to find a new replacement we decided to get it reupholstered. The finished product faer exceeded our expectations! Brad restuffed my couch cushion for a 20 year old sofa which was my parents. It is a unique cushion being one piece and scalloped cut. Foam had become compressed and looked awful. Usually I’m a DIY girl but knew I couldn’t tackle this. I called and gave him the dimensions, what I wanted and he ordered the special foam (higher density) without even asking for a deposit. Couch broke. It is a good couch, about 15 years od and still in great shape, except for the back bar that holds the springs. That part finally gave up. I tried to fix it myself. Took out some 10,000 staples to get the cheesecloth off the bottom. Took out the broken wood and fashioned one myself, affixed the spring clips and away I went. Except.....it wouldn't go. Push and push and cuss and scream. Nope, not going back. I was twisting the newly-fashioned beam and one of the springs broke free and nearly took out my eye. I cal... read more
