In 1982, Lewis Leatherman saw a need for a tax preparation and bookkeeping service for the citizens of his home town and the surrounding area. Wanting to fill this need, he formed Leatherman Tax & Bookkeeping in Saginaw, Texas. His idea was to provide quality tax preparation and bookkeeping service to individuals and small to medium size businesses at affordable prices.
