Jack Lawson has been doing our family's taxes since around 1995. He has always been available to talk and counsel us on various occasions. My husband passed in 2011. Jack has been taking care of my Daughters and my taxes since then and never once increased his fees since the 90s. He never even charged to do my daughter's until she finished college. He has been a valuable and loyal friend for all these years. He has earned my highest recommendations and is a truly good Man.
I would not recommend him to anyone. Hes rude and left out earned income in my 2017 tax return. My husband and i got audited by the IRS because of this. I took the letter that i recieved in the mail by the IRS to his office and explained everything to his secretary ( who is clueless) told me she would look into it and agreeed somethimg was wrong on their end that she would call the IRS and get it all figured for me ( they claim thats their responsibility to fix if ever audited) that was lie since she never got back to me....... read more
He completed my taxes for several years. One year left off important deductions. Another year showed a transfer of savings to a retirement account when it was actually a withdrawal. Received a letter from the IRS. There was a penalty. The last year I contracted with him, he got very angry about an inquiry as to whether we should get a mortgage on a second home or pay cash.
