The bus drivers are all kind and wonderful. But since they switched the routes, it now takes an 1 1/2 to almost 2 hours to get across town. The ols routes more convenient and quicker to get places.
Waiting at stop 468 Dole and Wakarusa. Bus 6 seemed to speed up as they cruised past. First attempt at the T and likely the last.
"Our bus crashed into the hospital and I missed my job interview by 45 minutes" is not what I wanted to say about the Lawrence Transit System but that's what happened last week. The job was for $19.78 per hour and my interviewers were very critical of me even tho I showed them a picture of what happened. The bus system in Lawrence is really much better than any bus system I've seen with the exception of San Francisco's trolley system which is notably iconic. *A long review* The other day it was -2° degrees and my husband had to go and get me and our daughters prescriptions. He bundled up and went a few minutes before the 7 bus was supposed to arrive as it was listed. After waiting and waiting no bus showed up and he came in and about 10 minutes later the bus went by. So he had to resort the gps tracker which barely works to track the 7. Once the 7 was shown to be getting close he bundled up again and went back out to wait.
