Years ago I was given a felony charge of Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property Valued Over $1000 that, upon the (godawfully expensive) legal advice of Joseph Simon, I plead guilty to. Awhile later, a lawyer friend of my father was utterly flabbergasted that Mr. Simon advised me to plead guilty, as a simple questioning of the actual dollar value of the item in question would have most-certainly reduced the felony charge to a misdemeanor.
