Darlene spoke at our Native American Law Student event at the University of Michigan on the topic of MMIR. She was an incredibly passionate panelist and shared a lot of important information on the MMIR crisis. She also engaged really kindly with law student and informed the students of the possibility to intern at Gomez Law Firm.
I met Darlene Gomez in her offices over a year ago when she was gracious enough to spend time discussing an art project about missing and murdered Indigenous women that I’m working on with a local Diné woman. Our discussion was enormously valuable. Darlene headed my brother’s case alongside the FBI of Albuquerque in 2017 until the culprits were found GUILTY and SENTENCED in 2020! If it were not for her love, hard work, and ethics, we would had never seen justice for Travis Howland. Thank you to Darlene and everyone she works with! Yall are HEROS!
