This place sucks, just today my child just came home from the bus crying because it seems that the bus driver wrote her up for grabbing her book that was one seat across from her. She told me that this “bus driver” is named Mr Gary I think. Hickory Tavern Elementary Middle has failed my child and their principal is making really unnecessary rules like a 2 minute hall pass that automatic starts from 1:59 minutes like what the actual hell laurens 55?? A girl cannot control her bladder.

This school district has failed my child! Towards the end of last year my 6th grade son started having problems with a teacher named Mr. Hamby at hickory tavern middle school. The teacher was not allowing him to go to the bathroom. After multiple calls to the school and visits, we got with one of the principals who had a talk with the teacher and told my son to use the restroom after lunch which my son tried to do and again the teacher denied him the opportunity to use the restroom. For a state with an EDUCATIONAL LOTTERY what’s going towards the schools in rural areas ??? Ford middle school NEEDS updates very badly …Malfunctioning elevators /water fountains backing up ( repairs are endless)& teacher morale for some is in the toilet 🚽 NEVER time for even a phone conference ???? Come on now …with the exception of LIFE events some of the teachers are ghost & it shows. If I could give this district a zero I would. It’s the worst district I have ever worked for and their IT department is racist they only hire white males or white females, any other race doesn’t get the job or even an interview. Their diversity motto on their website is fallacy it’s just a front. I was working within the district and applied to all the open position IT jobs having the credentials and didn’t even get an interview even though I applied the day they posted the position. For a state with an EDUCATIONAL LOTTERY what’s going towards the schools in rural areas ??? Ford middle should be CONDEMNED from being a school ASAP. Malfunctioning elevators /water fountains backing up ( repairs are endless)& teacher morale for some is in the toilet NEVER time for even a phone conference ???? Come on now …with the exception of LIFE events the teachers are ghost & it shows.. I’m disappointed the zone changed forcing my relatives to go to Ford.
