I've flown over 1.5 million kms, been to airports all over the world and of course mainland Australia. I come to Tassie every month. The security processes for a tiny regional airport in Launceston are so over the top and invasive you have to ask what on earth is going on here... Their slow process often results in queues out the terminal and down to the carpark. I liked the big Launceston wall on entry. Signage was good and easy to help navigate where you want to go. Pleasant experience.
The airport is going through some reconstruction, but they are handling it carefully and things are still working through smoothly

Fairly good airport, clean, easy to get around, nice food options. Nothing overly jaw-dropping but did the job, and it is all you need it to be
