Michelle Larson is flighty and disorganized. I wasn’t notified of her changed location until another client and I walked to the previous location to find it closed—so we both weren’t aware. Michelle ran almost an hour late for our appointment, was disorganized and didn’t have a plan for how to file our forms (we almost missed some signatures too!), and she didn’t think of deductions for my 1099 job. I used Larson Accounting for the first time in 2023 and caught multiple mistakes by their accountant Joni, like counting some of my income twice and not recording all of my charitable deductions. (If I hadn't noticed, I would have owed much more tax than I should have!) When I brought the errors to her attention, Joni told me I was wrong until I insisted that she look again at the data I'd provided. I almost gave them 2 stars because they are pet friendly, but couldn't do it. I should have read these reviews before going there. We normally do our own fairly simple taxes. However my father passed away last year and my mom sold a house last year, and gave her kids the some of the proceeds for the house. This is supposed to be in the form of several gifts tax receipts. Beware!!! I was a first time client, wasted an hour of my day to go over things. After a few weeks pass I called to see what was going on…. Couldn’t get a hold of anyone and no one would return my calls. Come to find out they lost my file. That’s why they were avoiding me.
