Rude is an understatement. I would never step foot in this shop again. EVER.

CAN CUSTOMER SERVICE BE ANY WORSE? – My husband and our eight year old son went in to buy a bike. Knowing very little about one brand over another I asked "Kelly" what she rides. Her response, "What difference does it make?" Trying to turn a now uncomfortable reply into something positive I complimented her shape so I figured she rode bikes. She informed me that she was a P.E. teacher. Meanwhile, my husband and son were looking at a bike by the clothes rack and some guy behind the counter is repeatedly yelling across the roo... read more

Entitled? – So, I dunno, maybe if you live in Lake Oswego and don't have a car, this is the place to shop. But they routinely charge 10 percent more than all the other bike shops in the area (marking up above MSRP?) for products. If you ask why, they just say "that is the price" ... Make sure you shop around before you buy anything here.

Try Somewhere Else – Ok - me, well into middle age, new to the area. I've been biking regularly for near 30 years and have several very high end custom bikes, but am a relative newbie to road biking. The first time I went in I dealt mostly with the head mechanic. We discussed four things to be done to a bike (front hub overhaul, new chain, brake pad replacement adjustment and bottom bracket OH). I dropped off the bike a week later and after four days in the shop it was "done". The only thing they did was the front hub - "for... read more

Customer for about ten years – Gordon, the owner, is one of the few owners I have met who actually spends a lot of time in his shop and interacts with customers. I bought a Cannondale road frame there last year and his crew built it up for me. Best bike I have had so far. It is one of the few shops that I trust to work on my bikes.

LakeSide Bicycles, Lake Oswego, OR - Medium sized shop, Good Inventory – Im a bit of a Newbie, and have been shopping for just under a month at the local portland oregon shops for a roadie bike. My background is Mountain bikes ( Bellingham ) and wanted to hook up with a local shop and get a decent bike-- AND not get ripped off. I dropped by the two Big box stores in Portland and a few specialty nice little shops, but the little shops all want to "special order" and are too enthusiastic to ORDER stuff rather than have it in s... read more

Condescending and rude to employee and customer – Not necessarily speaking of employees, or even those that I've dealt with. In fact, several employees have been more than helpful - including the mechanic in this review. However, my short interaction with who I think is the owner made me want to take my business elsewhere, and I did. Shop mechanic was helping me out with carbon assembly compound - he couldn't locate any for retail sale, so at the suggestion of the fit specialist guy was going to give me a small bit of Tacx c... read more

there arent words – i have never been talked down to like at this place. a bit condescending and rude. sure they have some nice bikes but it doesn't give you license to be a jerky. i spoke to several friends about my experience and they all either felt the same or had heard of something similar from this place. i went in for a power meter and some gloves, left with a grudge and hankering to write about it.
