Sad to see the park store stripped of everything that made it unique. The ice-cream is a nice touch but it used to be packed with camping supplies, groceries, candy. There's no candy anymore! That little store used to be the highlight of my summer as a kid. What a bummer.

The park is amazing, campsites are well cared for and kept clean along with the bathroom and beach. The trails are awesome, and loads of room for biking and walking. The only downside is the new store and the prices that were picked. We will go back to buying from Meijer for ice, wood, and snacks. Chris the previous store lady is so dearly missed along with her welcoming energy and of course soft serve ice cream. We tried the ice cream and $24 dollars later it was ehh okay. Everyone is kind, but it's more like a tourist trap... read more

So sad to see the Campstore is ran by a corporation. It went down hill fast. We love the campground I just hope the DNR reviews the contract and it goes back to being a small buisness again. I never mind paying higher prices when it's a mom and Pop shop. They removed all the stuff that made it great. No soft serve, no bacon, eggs, bread clothing and cheap candy for kiddos. $4 for 1 candy for kids it's ridiculous. Hand dip ice-cream would be okay if you had all 12 flavors in stock at a time. 6 just doesn't cut it.
