About this business
An overnight camping experience for boys and girls who are currently in grades K-11 through a variety of programs tailored to the appropriate age group. There are several leadership training programs for grades 8-11 and several "specialty camps" including horse, fishing, hiking and stand-up paddle-boarding camps. My kids have been looking forward to summer camp all year. Got a call today that there aren't enough counselors and their session is cancelled. It's frustrating to waste so much time looking into camps, deciding on one, preparing, filling out a ton of paperwork, buying supplies etc only to have it ripped out from beneath you last minute. Now it's far too late in the summer to find a replacement activity let alone summer camp. Disappointed is an understatement.
I went every year for 5 years. It was a very mixed bag, some years were great some not so much, a lot depends on the counselor you get. Overall it was still fun, I did the camping trip for 3 years and the cit program for two. The camper trips are more fun.
