Lake Owego has been a huge part of our family for many years. My son spent his childhood counting down the days until it was time to get on the bus, then spent the summer playing, learning lifelong skills, making new friends, and making incredible memories. Lake Owego is a very, very special place. The staff, activities, and pretty much everything about Lake Owego is a 10/10!

Lake Owego Camp has been nothing short of extraordinary for our family. My oldest son attends, and it has truly been a transformative experience for him—building independence, confidence, leadership, and lifelong friendships in a way I honestly didn’t think was possible at his age. He absolutely loves Lake Owego. It is his favorite place on earth, full stop. He talks about it all year, counts down the days until he returns, and already knows he wants to keep going through high school and eventually come back as a counselor. ... read more

From the moment we arrived at Lake Owego, there was something magical. Boys playing ping pong outside their bunks, racing up the hill to play basketball, swinging in the warm summer breeze in hammocks. A constant hum of play, friendships forming and a band of brothers enjoying the simple days of summer. No devices, no phones, no video games. Just good old fashioned fire pits, song, smores and outdoor fun. We have watched our two boys build lifelong friendships with children they had never met before joining this world of Lak... read more

My son has been attending Owego since 2021 and at the end of each summer returns home saying it was the "best summer yet!" They do a great job at letting the boys be independent while encouraging them to try new things. The staff is warm, fun, and attentive to the kids and responsive to the parents. The no electronics rule has been a blessing all these years. As the boys get older and age into the older side of the camp they get more independence, get to stay up later, get later night activities, more trips, and a favorite o... read more

Lake Owego is truly one of a kind-you can’t find another camp like it! Our son has spent three full-session summers at LOC, and our daughter attends their sister camp, Timber Tops. Both kids love it and look forward to every summer. What makes LOC so special is its incredible staff and leadership. Jeff (Freedo) and Kyle work closely with the counselors every day to make sure camp runs smoothly and that every camper feels supported and cared for. The counselors are mature, attentive, and genuinely invested in the kids. There ... read more
