Don't do it! She didn't perform her due diligence, and basically forfeited my case after 2 years because she wasn't prepared. We were clearly ahead after the deposition and an "alleged" 15K settlement offer. It's "alleged" because I never saw ANYTHING in writing. After the deposition and "offer", she claimed there was no case due to lack of medical records. WHAT? I should have sued her. While I'm the last one to get down on a sister who is ascending, this woman is NOT deserving of an endorsement. Reconsider.
Latonya may be the worst lawyer I've ever encountered. She is extremely rude and does not care about anything but herself. She had all my information for 3 months, refused to return my calls/emails until 3 days before trial and expected me to redo all my paperwork within hours because I had misunderstood some things (which was why I continuously tried to contact her for those three months, to no avail). Tried to get help for my daughter and she talked over hercwithout letting her even state my case. She was rude and disrespectful. Divorce is a trying time and when someone who is listed as an advocate for women’s rights treats another woman with as little respect as she did is despicable. I would not recommend her for anyone who wants to be treated with respect.
