EMPOWERME is an in house Pt/OT clinic at La Vida Real for clients living in this resort style community. For 2 weeks, Director Cesar Castaneda and his team empowered Tom in sessions 5 times a week in PT or OT sessions. These dedicated PT's always went extra miles to empower Tom with their "don't give up" approach. Then, Tom declined rapidly and was enrolled in hospice care in his Enliven room. My husband Tom spent the last 92 days of his 88 years in the ENLIVEN unit of La Vida Real. Our family chose this in house palliative/hospice care for its high standards and proximity to our apt in independent living at Vida! Jerry Godinez, the Director of Enliven and his entire team bestowed so much love upon Tom. The caregivers were so kind and compassionate in their frequent daily visits.
