Founded in 1976 by 300 families, La Monta ita Co-op Food Market opened its first store in a community center on the eastern edge of the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, N.M. This 1,000-square-foot store served the co-op well and by 1986 had a membership of 3,000 families and annual sales of over $1 million. The Co-p is great for the organic food, but most things have natural flavor in them now. And now they have bad music.
VERY expensive for the same fruit and veggies that one finds every where. The staff is very nice. Not sure why the cost is so high…
Very unfriendly store. The security guard mad dog me and accuse me of stealing. They need to not accuse their customers of a crime they did not commit. They should fire that lady immediately.
This place is disgusting. Walked in and around for 5 minutes and was so grossed out by the place and the staff, that I walked right back out and am never setting foot in there again. Save yourself, don't buy groceries from places like this.
